The design of the Bownet is different from what anyone else has ever seen. Set up time is virtually nil, they have no guide wires and come with a free carrying bag. The Bownet is durable, portable, lightweight and sturdy. A video was taken of the Bownet in action during the season of the California Santa Ana winds and it withheld.

The secret is the bungee system that Bownet has patented with fiber glass rod nets supporting the regular net – when a ball hits the net, the regular net gives, the fiber glass rods give and the bungee system sets the net back up. The impact of the ball isn’t entirely accepted by the net.
